Most people think that the only way to gain weight is by eating a lot of steak, chicken and eggs. This is great food and it'll defiantly help you gain weight. Unfortunately if you stay away from meat then you're out of luck, not!

You would be out of luck if those were the only foods you could eat to gain a few pounds. Fortunately there are plenty of alternatives that are meat-free. There are soy supplements, soy products (milk, cheese, yogurt), beans, fish (depending on if you eat it or not) and nuts.

Gaining weight isn't as much about the types of foods you eat. It's about the amount of calories you get. As long as you take in more than you burn, you'll gain weight, even as a vegetarian.
